Our features and strengths

We have a variety of heat treatment facilities at five sites nationwide, and provide customers with "Daido quality" by optimum heat treatment.

  • Vacuum Heat Treatment

    Each plant

    Prevents oxidation scale and decarburized layer by quenching in vacuum. Cooling is also done in a non-oxidizing state, so the skin is clean without the oxide layer scale.

  • Controlled Atmosphere Heat Treatment

    Plants (excluding the Shizuoka Plant)

    Decarburized layer is prevented by quenching in a furnace filled with inert gas. Cooling is atmospheric, so a slight oxidation scale is generated.

  • Bright Heat Treatment

    Sagami Plant

    Excellent surface quality thanks to fine atmosphere control. Cooling is performed in the non-oxidized state even during cooling, so the oxidized scale and decarburized layer can also be suppressed.

  • Salt Bath Heat Treatment

    Osaka Heat Treatment Plant

    The product is immersed in a hot salt bath for treatment. Heating and cooling can be performed evenly in a short period of time, enabling heat treatment under optimum conditions that match each product. The feature is that there are few deformations.

  • e-HIT (Low Strain, High Toughness Heat Treatment)

    Nagoya and Ota plants

    Heat treatment at low strain is possible while maintaining high toughness even in large dies, such as die-cast dies, which have large wall thickness differences.

  • Surface modification and coating

    Plants (Shizuoka Plant only for coating)

    Modification or coating of the surface of the mold changes the surface condition and imparts new characteristics. Improved galling resistance, abrasion resistance, erosion damage resistance, etc. according to the specifications of the dies are expected to have the best effect on die life.
